Follow the African American Trail to Queen Anne's County
As you follow the Black History Trail from The National Museum of African American History & Culture...we welcome you to Queen Anne's County, Maryland's Gateway to the Eastern Shore. Stop and see the Chesapeake Heritage & Visitors Center for our Chesapeake Legacy Exhibit and SPECIAL EXHIBITION highlighting African American History and Culture. This exhibit is organized by Kennard Heritage & Multicultural Center, Queen Anne's County Department of Economic & Tourism Development and the pieces from the local community. Within the exhibit you will find art from the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum and memorabilia celebrating the Black Watermen of the Chesapeake.
