Registration

                                                            

A person may not own, keep, or harbor a dog, cat, or ferret four months old or older without a Current Queen Anne's
 County Registration.

1. Registration is permanent and remains with the animal for life.

2. Registration may not be transferred from one animal to another animal.

3. A person found in violation of civil or criminal animal cruelty charges may not register an animal in Queen Anne's
     for three years from the date of violation.  On conviction of subsequent offenses, registration must be approved by
    the Animal Control Commission.

5. Animals must have a current rabies vaccination, proof of micro chip implant and a photo.

6. The cost of the registration is $10.00 per animal.

7. Micro chips may be obtained from your local veterinarian or at the Animal Welfare League of Queen Anne's County.

8. Applications may be dropped off in person or mailed with appropriate fee or submitted and paid for on line to

9. Queen Anne's County provides a unique scan able tag that must be worn by dogs at all times.
    This tag when scanned by a citizen will notify the owner of the lost pet by sending a message to the
    designated numbers provided at the time of registration.

11. Failing to obtain a county registration may result in fines of up to $1000.00.
