County Administrator Gregg Todd's Wrap Up of the Sept. 26th QAC Commissioners' Meeting

On Monday the commissioners met with our state delegation at 1:30 to discuss legislative initiatives. MDoT tour was at 2:00.  Tuesday’s meeting began at 5:30.

For the Monday September 25, 2017 SHA Tour

1. Maryland Department of Transportation MDOT Priority Letter FY18-23 


Tab 3, Action:

1. Termination of Contract Negotiations with FTS Letter – approved pending removal of “legal opinion” sentence 

2. Across the Bay 10K Beer Sales letter to Ironman – approved 

3. Kennard Alumni Association request for SCHA Grant Funding support letter – approved 

4. Resolution 17-42 – establishing guidelines for Solar Payment in Lieu of Taxes (PILOT) agreement – approved 

5. Proposed Donation Policy – approved 

6. Policy Update – Budget Amendment Policy & Expenditure Control Policy – held  

7. Funding for Chesapeake Charities for Partnership for Youth (PFY) – held 

8. Old Love Point Park Trail-Comfort Station-Concession Parking-Amenities State Program Open Space Grant in the amount of $194,400 and approve the use of $54,000 in Department of Parks Building Stabilization Funds for the purpose of stabilizing and rehabilitating critical   park infrastructure elements within Old Love Point Park. – approved 

9. FY18 Department of Parks Capital Equipment – Rhino TX1700 23-24 Batwing Finish Mower for $14,200 utilizing the Department of Parks FY2018 Capital Equipment Budget. – approved 

10. FY19 Proposed Budget Schedule – approved 

11. Social Services Advisory Board reappointment – re-appoint Daniel Kirchner, Jr. to a 3 year term on the Social Services Advisory Board to begin effective immediately and end June 30, 2020. – approved 

12. Sustainable Communities Council appointment – I move to appoint James Malaro and Joseph Tvelia to a 3 year term on the Sustainable Communities Council to begin effective immediately and end August 31, 2020. – held 

13. Budget Amendment CC-31 – Aging – Capital Grant – utilization of Aging Capital Grant prior year fund balance for Dept. of Aging vehicle repairs – approved 

14. Budget Amendment CC-14 – Use of prior year bond proceeds to pay for capital projects as opposed to prior year fund balance – approved 

15. Budget Amendment CC-16 – recognition of Program Open Space funds for Old Love Point Park improvements – approved
