County Administrator Gregg Todd's Wrap Up of the Oct. 10th QAC Commissioners' Meeting


Meeting began at 9:00 on Tuesday. A closed session was held at 11:00 concerning the MOU with Ironman for the Across the Bay 10K. After the closed session the commissioners met in open session and approved the Cash in Lieu of Bond agreement and voted to amend the agenda to reflect the closed session which was added during the meeting.


Tab 3, Action Items:

1. Legislative Requests for 2018 State Legislative Session – approved

2. MDoT Tour Letter to Delegation - held

3. 2017 10K Across the Bay Cash in Lieu of Bond Agreement and MOU – Cash in Lieu of Bond approved – Patrick to check on whether or not a new MOU is needed

4. Property Liens – approved

5. Shipping Creek Landing Paving – David A. Bramble to pave the parking lot, entrance and landing at Shipping Creek Landing using $44,240.00 from Waterway Improvement Program – approved

6. Kudner Property Access Road - contractual agreement with Love Point Ventures, for construction services to be provided at the Kudner Property. This contract will be for $26,738.20 from the Preventative Park Maintenance Fund and will be added to tower lease fee. – approved

7. Blue Heron Nature Preserve – DNR Chesapeake & Atlantic Trust Fund Grant Award in the amount of $300,000, for the Development of the Blue Heron Nature Preserve. – approved

8. NACo County Membership Dues – approved

9. Partnerships for Children & Families appointments – appoint Tammy Hall (representing Transportation) and Claire Johnson (student member) to the Board of the Queen Anne's County Community Partnerships for Children and Families effective immediately and to serve a three year term. – approved

10. Sustainable Communities Council appointments – James Malaro and Joseph Tvelia to a three year term on the Sustainable Communities Council to begin effective immediately and end August 31, 2020 – council moved to P&Z under Helen Spinelli – approved

11. Budget Amendment CC-17 – Aging MAP grant to reflect grant revenues – approved

12. Budget Amendment CC-32 – FY17 clean up – approved

Desk Item - $44,000 request to Chesapeake Charities for PFY after school programs – approved
