County Administrator Gregg Todd's Wrap Up on Dec 12 CC Meeting

The commissioners meeting began at 8:00 with an Administrative session to discuss the commissioner’s board appointments for the upcoming year. Commissioner Steve Wilson will stay as board president and Commissioner Jack Wilson as board VP. Patrick Thompson was retained as county attorney. Other changes were:

  • Creation of a Broadband Advisory Council
  • Upper Shore Regional Council – Jack Wilson with Paige Tilghman alternate
  • Sustainable Communities Council – Mark Anderson
  • DES – Steve Wilson stays as primary with Jack Wilson as alternate
  • FEC – Robert Buckey stays as primary with Jack Wilson as alternate
  • MACo – Jack Wilson with Jim Moran alternate

There was also a personnel closed session with the Sheriff’s Dept. to discuss additional personnel needs for the new court house. A vote was taken in open session to approve an additional $110K in FY18 for personnel.

2. Systematic Replacement of Fleet Vehicles (1-Ton Pickups) – approved

3. Systematic Replacement of Fleet Vehicles (6 Wheel Dump Trucks) - approved. 

4. Kent Manor Inn Water Allocation – approved

5. 2011 Comprehensive Water and Sewerage Plan (CWSP) -Amendment 11-12 – both the Queenstown water tower and the amendment to the allocation policy to change the definition of a minor subdivision from 5 lots to 7 lots were approved.
