Dick Potter of Dick’s Autohous Recognized for 50 Years in Business


At their meeting Tuesday, the Queen Anne’s County Commissioners recognized Dick Potter, owner of Dick’s Autohous, for his 50-year commitment and contribution to the local economy.  

 Potter, a lifelong resident of the county, started his business, Dick's Autohaus, in Wye Mills, in 1966. Dick's Autohaus specializes in Volkswagen parts and service and is highly praised by its customers for the quality service and work it performs.

 “Potter takes pride in the tenure of his employees, the longest of which worked for the company for 35 years,” read the commissioners’ proclamation. “Queen Anne's County values the significant contributions small businesses, like Dick's Autohaus, makes to the local economy by generating jobs and improving the quality life for citizens.”
