May 23, 2017 County Commissioner Meeting


Meeting began at 4:45 with an admin session to discuss boards and commission appointments. At the beginning of the regular meeting the following appointments were approved:

Ethics Commission – Karrin Salisbury

Housing Authority – Jim Hynson

Liquor Board – Tom Beery and Joyce Jones

Property Tax Board – Margo Cook (to be appointed by the Governor)

Social Services Advisory Board – Alison Davis

2011 Comprehensive Water and Sewerage Plan (CWSP) Amendment 11-11 Public Hearing – 6:30


Tab 3, Action:

1. Historic Christ Church Fellowship Hall Use/Shines Like Stars Pre-School – proposing a 1 year extension to allow Shines Like Stars to find another location – approved

2. Former Kudner Property – Empire Broadcasting Systems Inc. Cell Tower property Lease – approved

3. White Marsh Park – Roadway Resurfacing – David A. Bramble, $85,312.50 – approved

4. BOE – request to transfer $599,000 from operating fund to capital fund – approved

5. Budget Amendment CC-24 – Housing Special Loans & Chester Wye – this budget amendment would be recognize the $50K contribution from Chesterwye and for the county to transfer $50K from the Housing Special Loans fund to cover project overage of $100K – approved

6. Regional Behavioral Health Advisory Committee re-appointment request for Matt Evans – approved

7. Tax Exemption Available to Disabled Veterans – desk top action for your approval/signatures – moved from #4 in Info items – approved
