A Message from the QAC Commissioners

AltTextQueen Anne’s County regrets to inform the families and community that during the playground replacement at Old Love Point Park, sections of the Children’s Memorial Playground that was built and dedicated in 1999 in the memory of local children, were lost or destroyed.
This was not intentional or malicious, but simply an oversight due to the passing of years and the lack of clear delineations of the memorials. The county did save the original dedication sign (pictured) which will be restored and re-dedicated on site during the future unveiling ceremony for the playground.

The County pledges to recognize the contributions of the community and remember those who have been memorialized at this playground and extend our most heartfelt condolences to the families and friends that have been affected by this recent event.

Sincerely,

Queen Anne’s County Commissioners
