EOC Update - 7/25/17

A severe weather event, an EF2 tornado which was confirmed by the National Weather Service went through Stevensville in the Bay City area around 1:30 am, Monday July 24. All searches have been completed for life threats and injuries. There was only one minor injury throughout this event. Ice and bottled water distribution was set up Matapeake Elementary School. Verizon also set up a charging station at Matapeake Elementary School.

The emergency Shelter at Centreville Middle School is still open to residents. Kent Island Fire Department is NOT accepting donations.

Approximately 73 people are still without power in Queen Anne’s County, most are in the Bay City neighborhood.

Today’s weather is forecasted as, clouds and sun with a high of 82 and low humidity.
