Creepy Crawler Nature Preschool Programs are classes that are open to 2-5 year olds accompanied by an adult. Each class involves story time, craft, hike, live animals (or artifacts), and a snack. Creepy Crawlers is held rain or shine and everyone should dress for the weather. All hikes will be stroller-accessible.
" Snail, Slugs and Grubs" will allow children o turn over logs and leaf litter to find out how our slimy friends help the food web of the forest.

The Maryland Commission on African American History and Culture will be holding their monthly meeting at the Kennard High school Cultural Heritage Center starting at 11am.The meeting is open to the public and refreshments will be served.
The commission will report on present and upcoming cultural initiatives, the African American Heritage Preservation Program grant, and hear presentations by interested guests. The 1864 Maryland "Emancipation Quilt" will also be on display in the Kennard African American History Museum. Information on an upcoming Emancipation Quilt presentation and quilting workshop by Dr. Joan M. E. Gaither will be announced.

Join Mike Embrey, Eastern Shore honeybee expert, for a talk on bees, their importance as pollinators, and the joys of bee-keeping. Mike recently retired from the University of Maryland College of
Agriculture and Natural Resources, where he was program manager for 20 years of the Eastern Shore Apiculture Program. He teaches bee-keeping courses throughout the region, and has traveled around the world consulting on the raising and maintaining honeybees and other agricultural pollinators.
