  3. Honoring Captian Eldridge Meredith " A Quintessential Waterman"

    The Blacks of the Chesapeake Foundation presents a community and family celebration and living history project. Captain Eldridge Meredith is a 90 year old waterman turned charter boat captain and businessman. He has worked the Chesapeake Bay for more than 80 years! The BOC is developing educational programs, a book, documentary and traveling exhibit to be shared with schools, colleges, historical & cultural organizations. Public programs will be held in conjunction with the Smithsonian Institution as well.
