    Learn to Crochet at the Centreville Library! The Public Services Librarian will be sharing her crocheting skills. Learn to chain, single stitch and beyond with this beginners class. Make a square to use as a pot holder or dishcloth or keep going and make a scarf! Its just the beginning! **Please bring your own crochet hook and preferred yarn. There will be extra yarn and hooks, but not necessarily for everyone and this way you can keep working on your project at home. Bring your latest craft project, whether is crocheting, sewing, knitting or anything else you are attempting to make to work on with friends, share ideas and drink some tea or coffee.   3. History, Heritage and Community-Black History Month Celebration 2018

    February 17, 2018, 3:30 PM - 6:00 PM @ Kennard High School Cultural Heritage Center

    The Kennard Alumni Association will present an evening celebrating "History, Heritage and Community" at the "Newly Restored" Kennard High School Cultural Heritage Center. Come and experience this walk through local African American History. This event will honor "Local Heroes" that became "Pioneers" in education, occupation, and community service. The program will also recognize local youth that have excelled in their schools and communities. This event is a "must see and hear" for all family members! The Kennard African American History Museum will be open with some "Special Displays" for this program. All proceeds benefit "The Kennard Alumni Scholarship Fund", supporting deserving seniors of Queen Anne's County.
