  1. Yoga at Matapeake Amphitheatre

    You are invited to gain strength, flexibility, and a calm mind with teacher in training, Rachel Taylor. This Community Yoga flow is Rachel’s final project in earning her RYT-200, 250 Hour Yoga Teacher Certification. Rachel earned her B.S. in Kinesiology from The University of Maryland in 2009 and incorporates her knowledge of body movement into her yoga practice and teachings. Please bring a yoga mat, water bottle, and a towel.

  2. Guided Evening Hike - Harvest Moon

    September 29, 2023, 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM

    Enjoy a rare opportunity to take a guided hike after hours and enjoy the moon and night sky. The park will be closed to all others, giving you different perspective of the park and the wildlife who take shelter in the woods and fields. Topics can range from the moon and the stars and the tides, to habitats and the history of the park. We suggest bringing a flashlight or wearing a headlamp, as well as shoes appropriate for uneven terrain. You will meet the Park Rangers just before dark, for a brief introduction and a review of safety measures. A typical tour duration is about an hour, but may vary slightly, and are dependent on weather conditions. Please check our website or call the Parks and Recreation Department if skies are cloudy. Please note children must be accompanied by a legal guardian. Pre-registration is required.

  3. Movie Night in the Park

    Pleas join us at Terrapin Nature Park in Stevensville for the showing of The Wizard of Oz. The will be a costume contest prize for BEST Wizard of Oz Character portrayal. Please bring a lawn chair, blanket, snacks and a friend and enjoy the movie with us. Movie show time starts at 7pm. The is a FREE Event, no registration required.
