Queen Anne’s County Department of Emergency Services Training Academy just completed a fire officer one course that consisted of four career members of the department as well as two volunteer members from Kent Island Volunteer Fire Department.
Students studied the goals and objectives of leadership, cultural diversity, mentorship, fire safety inspections, counseling, cause, origin, and fire tactics. These future Fire and EMS officers took the course very seriously and worked hard to complete the 65 hour class.
