1. Mosquito Control User Fees
This is the proposed Mosquito Control Spraying User-Fee’s schedule for 2020. A modest fee increase is suggested to cover chemical, equipment and labor costs. This is the first fee increase since 2011 and customers must subscribe to the program. -APPROVED 5-0
2. NG 9-1-1 Consulting and Project Management
This is a contract with Mission Critical Partners to provide RFP Consulting and Project Management services for the selection and implementation of NG 9-1-1 for Maryland’s Eastern Shore Public Safety Answering Points. The project will identify and select a single NG 9-1-1 provider for the nine (9) Eastern Shore counties. The cost is $295,711.37 which is 100% funded via a grant from the Maryland Emergency Number Systems Board (ENSB). -APPROVED 5-0
3. NENA Excellent in Dispatch Certificate Courses
This is for the purchase of the National Emergency Number Association Excellence in Dispatch Certificate program training at a cost of $38,000. This project is 100% funded via a Maryland Emergency Number Systems Board grant. -APPROVED 5-0
4. Motorola Digital Vehicular Repeater System
This is for the acquisition of a Motorola Digital Vehicular Repeater System through the Maryland Department of Information Technology contract totaling $92,560. This equipment is necessary to provide consistent emergency services radio coverage, including several “dead zones” in the region of the 50/301 split. -APPROVED 5-0
5. 2020 Census Grant Program Grant Agreement
This is a Grant Agreement for advertising expenses for the FY2020 Maryland Census program. No local cash match is required. The grant is for up to $20,000. -APPROVED 5-0
6. Property Liens
This is a series of two (2) Resolutions 19-49, 19-50 to place a lien on each of the three properties for nuisance violations (unmanicured/high grass). -APPROVED 5-0
7. MALPF State Matching Funds Program letter of intent to participate
This is a draft letter of intent to participate in the MALPF Matching Funds Program for 2020.

8. Budget Amendment CC-12 – DARE Grant
This is a budget amendment for the Maryland Center for School Safety grant. It was awarded to the Office of the Sheriff for a DARE Officer that will be in the public schools as well as the three
State Approved Private Schools. The grant funds must be spent by July 1, 2020. No local funds are required. -APPROVED 5-0
9. Budget Amendment CC-13 – Heritage & Visitor Center
This budget amendment establishes budget authority for the Chesapeake Heritage and Visitors Center lobby renovation project. The total project is expected to cost $100,000.
The Office of Tourism was awarded a $50,000 Maryland Heritage Area Authority Grant to cover a portion of these costs. This grant requires matching funds of $34,500 and $15,500 of in-kind services. These funds and services will be provided by DPW Facilities. -APPROVED 3-2
10. Budget Amendment CC-14 – Detention Center equipment
This budget amendment establishes budget authority to purchase 19 bullet proof vests for the Detention Center. The total cost is approximately $20,000. Of that amount, $9,949 will be reimbursed back to the County through a State grant. The remaining $10,051 will be funded with savings in the
Detention Center capital equipment project. -APPROVED 5-0
11. Budget Amendment CC-15 – Community Affairs – 2020 Census Grant Program
Queen Anne’s County received a $20,000 grant from the State of Maryland for the 2020 Census Grant Program. This grant covers 100% of the expenses associated with media fees for advertising related to the 2020 census. This budget amendment establishes the budget authority for the grant and associated expenditures. -APPROVED 5-0
