[ARCHIVED] Business Update and Resources for Queen Anne’s County

The Governor’s office released a statement that all restaurants, bars, gyms and movie theatres throughout the state must close as of 5pm today until further notice.  Drive-thru, Carryout and Delivery Options are still allowed to continue operation.  We understand that these measures will cause a strain on our local business and their employees.  The SBA and State of Maryland have resources to assist both business and employees affected by COVID-19.

For more information on the SBA Disaster Loan Assistance program visit sba.gov/funding-programs/disaster-assistance.  SBA provides low-interest disaster loans to help businesses and non profits through its Economic Injury Disaster Loan Program (EIDL).

The State of Maryland Department of Commerce recently launched a website providing information specific to businesses and employees affected by the COVID-19.  For information regarding unemployment insurance claims and financial & tax assistance visit businessexpress.maryland.gov/coronavirus.

The Queen Anne’s County Economic and Tourism Department is here to help as well.  Please visit our website at choosequeenannes.com or call us at 410-604-2100.

This is a rapidly changing event so follow us on social media @QACGOV and qac.gov online for the latest updates to county government. For the latest information on COVID-19 follow Queen Anne’s County Department of Health @QADOH and qahealth.org
