Queen Anne’s County has a need for masks for employees in a variety of departments which must remain operational during these challenging times. If you like to sew and have material you are willing to donate, we would love for you to use your talents to make some masks for us. Please use this link on the CDC website https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prevent-getting-sick/diy-cloth-face-coverings.html?deliveryName=USCDC_2067-DM25135 in particular the first sample shows the type of masks are looking for.
We would prefer masks with elastic ear loops if you have access to elastic, if not, one of the other options listed is certainly fine. Since most of our employees who will be using these masks are men, we would also prefer more blue, green, brown, or black colors and not so many that have flowers, hearts or butterflies.
Donations should be delivered Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM at the Kramer Center,104 Powell Street, Centreville.
