Commissioner Corchiarino Appointed to Chesapeake Bay Trust Board of Trustees

Commissioner Chris Corchiarino was appointed as a member of the Chesapeake Bay Trust Board of Trustees by Governor Larry Hogan. Commissioner Corchiarino will fill the one of the Governor-appointed Trustee seats until 2022. Governor Hogan thanked Commissioner Corchiarino for making this strong personal and professional commitment to serve the best interests of our citizens.

Commissioner Corchiarino was elected to the Board of County Commissioners for Queen Anne’s County in 2018 to represent District 4, which is located in the southern part of Queen Anne’s County near the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. At the end of 2020 he was selected to be Commission President.

“I am looking forward to this opportunity to serve and bringing to the organization the perspective of the people and industries of Queen Anne’s County.” said Commissioner Corchiarino.

The Chesapeake Bay Trust is a nonprofit grant making organization which is dedicated to improving the watersheds of the Chesapeake Bay, Maryland Coastal Bays and Youghiogheny River. The goal of the trust is to get residents involved in the restoration of the Chesapeake Bay. The Maryland General Assembly created the trust in 1985 to increase stewardship through grant programs, special initiative, and partnerships that support K-12 environmental education, on the ground watershed restoration, community engagement and the underlying science of these three realms.
