Queen Anne's County Department of Emergency Services would like to thank Maryland Emergency Deployment Search and Rescue for training with our staff in June. Each shift was trained in the foundational skills of water rescue, which includes basic knot tying, deployment of a rope bag, establishing a downstream and upstream catch line, as well as navigating shallow water. We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to the Residents of Symphony Village for allowing us to use their pool to have this training.
