Queen Anne’s County Proposes a Dog Park at White Marsh Park
The QAC Commissioners and the Department of Parks and Recreation are proposing to build a Dog Park at the White Marsh Park, located in Centreville, Md. Our Parks and Recreation staff are currently determining the optimal site for this desired amenity in the park.
Initial plans for the project will include one large fenced area, a pavilion, and benches for dog owners. “We would like to create a space for dogs and their owners to socialize and enjoy our parks and the amenities they offer.” says County Commissioner Steve Wilson.
“Dog parks are essential in all communities, just as parks promote exercise and fresh air for our residents the same is true for our furry four-legged friends. Dogs need social interaction just as much as we do.” Said County Commissioner Phil Dumenil
If approved this funding would be in the Fiscal Year 2023 budget which takes effect on July 1, 2022
Additional details about the proposed dog park will be released in the coming months on qac.org and social media @QACGOV
