[ARCHIVED] Department of Emergency Services Directors Award

directors award

Scott Haas and Scott Wheatley presented Candace Golt with the Directors Award for all her hard work on the Maryland State Emergency Service Transporter Supplemental Payment Program (ESPP). The Director’s Award is the highest award that can be received from the Department of Emergency Services.
Candace has handled the ambulance billing for 11 years she spends somewhere around 8-12 hours per shift. Candace stepped up to the plate to help during an economic downturn where all county departments were looking for ways to increase revenue and reduce their budget. Candace helped Queen Anne’s County Department of Emergency Services apply for the ESPP which helps supplement payments that are typically very low from Medicaid transports. In the first year of the program, she is responsible for bringing in $561, 689.00 in extra revenue. They are anticipating bringing in over $800,000 this coming year.
