Several Information Technology Staff were presented with Unit Citation Awards for their hard work and dedication by successfully moving the 911 Center to its temporary location for renovations last year.

During last year’s renovations of the 911 Center all electronics and consoles had to be relocated temporarily. The building that served as the temporary 911 Center was only outfitted with electric at the time. The county investigated utilizing a contractor to move the six 911 consoles and the cost was estimated between $30,000 - $50,000 per console. The county Information Technology Staff stepped up to the plate and connectivity was never lost during the move.
