County Commissioners Seeking Residents to Serve on Agricultural Preservation Advisory Board
The Queen Anne’s County Commissioners are looking to fill a vacancy on the Queen Anne’s County Agricultural Preservation Advisory Board. The deadline for applications is June 16, 2023.
Queen Anne’s County’s Agricultural Preservation Advisory Board advises the County governing body with respect to review and approval of the purchase of easements by the Maryland Agricultural Land Preservation Foundation within the County. They also make recommendations on lot exclusions, Ag. Subdivisions and farm employee dwellings. The Agricultural Advisory Board also:
- Assists in reviewing the status of agricultural lands under easement.
- Advises the Maryland Agricultural Land Preservation Foundation concerning County priorities for agricultural preservation.
- Promotes preservation of agriculture within the County by offering information and assistance to landowners concerning the purchase of easements and to perform any other duties assigned by the County.
