QAC Parks & Recreation Staff and Public Safety Community Recognized for Heroism
The Queen Anne’s County Commissioners recognized the Department of Parks and Recreation Staff and our Public Safety Community for heroism demonstrated on March 15, 2023. Department of Parks & Recreation, staff members, Justin Harris, Jeffrey Hallett, and Corey Lancaster, exhibited courage and quick thinking, embodying the true spirit of heroism.
In a critical moment, the Department of Parks and Recreation staff swiftly initiated a life-saving response by promptly contacting emergency services and administering CPR to a fellow co-worker. Their immediate actions played a pivotal role in saving a life, showcasing their dedication to the well-being of others.
Their courageous and decisive efforts serve as an inspiring example to their colleagues and the entire community of Queen Anne's County. Their commitment to the safety and welfare of their fellow citizens are truly commendable.
In addition to the Department of Parks and Recreation staff, the collaborative response from various departments and partners, including the Department of Emergency Services, the Office of the Sheriff, the Grasonville Volunteer Fire Department, the Maryland State Police Aviation Division, and the Departments of Human Resources, was instrumental in saving a life. Their swift and proficient actions showcased their dedication and further contributed to this life-saving effort.
