Kennard Alumni Association’s Two Great Events

Nov. 5th at 10 a.m. John F. Andrews Memorial Dedication
The Kennard Alumni Association thanks all that contributed to establish the “John F. Andrews Memorial”, located on the grounds of the “Newly Restored” Kennard High School Cultural Heritage Center and African American History Museum. The dedication ceremony will be held Sat., Nov. 5th at 10 a.m. The school address is 410 Little Kidwell Ave., Centreville, MD. All are welcome. There will be music and time for sharing remembrances. You can still contribute to the permanent memorial garden to be installed in the spring. Checks should be made payable to Kennard Alumni Association, noting “John Andrews Fund” on the memo line, and mailed to
P. O. Box 213, Centreville, MD 21617. To make a cash or credit card donation, please contact Clayton Washington, association president, at 443-239-2110.

Nov. 12TH Kennard Alumni Association Dinner Dance Gala
Come help us celebrate “80 Years” of Kennard High School (1936 – 2016) at our Ninth Annual Dinner Dance Fundraising Gala. This year’s event will be held at the “Newly Restored” Kennard High School Cultural Heritage Center at 410 Little Kidwell Ave. in Centreville on Saturday, November 12, 2016, with doors opening at 6:30 pm for hors d’oeuvres and Silent Auction. Dinner begins at 8:00 pm, followed by a short awards program at 9:00 pm and then, dancing. There will be door prizes, special surprises, and an “Open Bar” (beer and wine only) until ending, for this truly “Dress Up” affair (black tie optional). Tickets are $45 each, a small price to pay for such a worthy cause. All proceeds benefit the programs of “The Kennard High School Cultural Heritage Center”.
