Department of Emergency Services Receives Executive Director Award from Maryland Emergency Medical Services Systems
Centreville - On Wednesday May 24, 2017 Maryland Institute for Emergency Medical Services Systems held their 2017 EMS Awards Ceremony to honor well-deserving individuals who made extra ordinary accomplishments in pre hospital care in 2017. The awards ceremony is held during EMS Week (May 21-27) which carries the theme #EMSStrong.
Queen Anne’s County Department of Emergency Services, Church Hill Volunteer Fire Department, Crumpton Volunteer Fire Department and Maryland State Police Aviation Command received the 2017 Maryland Institute for Emergency Medical Services System “Executive Director” award for a true “systems approach” for responding, treating, stabilizing and transporting Deputy First Class Scott Hogan on December 29th 2016.
The rapid response and treatment by all involved played a key role in survival from a potentially life threating gunshot wound.
