Matapeake Beach, Grounds, and Dog Beach to Reopen on May 10

Queen Anne’s County Department of Parks and Recreation is pleased to announce that Matapeake Beach, Grounds, and Dog Beach will reopen to the public on Saturday, May 10. These areas were temporarily closed as part of a dredging and beach replenishment project conducted by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources (DNR), allowing the dredged material to properly settle.

We appreciate the community’s patience and understanding during this process and look forward to welcoming everyone back to enjoy these popular waterfront areas.

For questions or concerns, please contact Queen Anne’s County Parks and Recreation at (410) 758-0835.
