County Commissioners Seeking Members for Several Boards and Commissions 

The Queen Anne’s County Commissioners are actively seeking individuals to fill vacancies on several Boards and Commissions. The following boards and commissions have upcoming vacancies, Broadband Advisory Council, Property Tax Assessment Appeals Board, Travel and Tourism Advisory Committee. 

The Broadband Advisory Council was formed to advise and provide recommendations to the County Commissioners on the provision of broadband services and infrastructure in Queen Anne's County. Several vacancies for someone in the Broadband Industry, and someone that resides in Commissioner District 1, 2 and 3. The Property Tax Assessment Appeals Board reviews appeals from final decisions, determinations, or orders issued by a property tax assessment appeal board or any other authorized unit of state or local government regarding tax issues. Several vacancies are open until filled. 

The Travel and Tourism Advisory Committee was developed to represent specific industries to provide countywide leadership in policy development, management and competitiveness to ensure that Queen Anne’s County enjoys greater economic benefits from travel and tourism spending. Several vacancies are available. We are specifically looking for individuals involved in the following industries: accommodations, restaurants, agri-tourism, recreation, events / group travel and retail. Please apply by February 28, 2026.
