_Summer camp job

Several job openings for Recreations Leaders to support our Summer Camp Program, which starts in June 2024.

All positions are part-time, contractual and close on June 30, 2024 at 4:30 PM, EOE

 

Recreation Leader I –Junior Camp Counselor
Rate of Pay: $15.00/Hour

Job Summary:

Under supervision, is responsible for direct organization of a variety of recreation services and activities, including but not limited to indoor and outdoor recreation programs, camps, sporting events, club house operations and special events.

Education/Experience:

Must be at least 16* years old or older or have successfully completed the tenth grade.  At least one year of experience working with youth in the field of parks and recreation, physical education, childcare, or a related field preferred. 

 

Recreation Leader II –Camp Counselor

Rate of Pay: $16.00/Hour 

Job Summary:

Under supervision, is responsible for the direct organization of a variety of recreation services and programs, including but not limited to indoor and outdoor programs, camps, sporting events, club house operations, and special events. Work with children and will assist the Recreation Leader III during assigned recreation activities.    

Education/Experience:

Must be 18* years old or older or have a high school diploma or GED.  At least one year of college or at least one year of experience working with youth in the field of parks and recreation, physical education, child care or a related field required.

 

Recreation Leader III – 

Senior Camp Counselor

Rate of Pay: $17.00/Hour 

Job Summary:

Under supervision, is responsible for the direct organization and leadership of a variety of recreation programs, including but not limited to monitoring camps and supervising building/field usage, sporting events, club house operations, and special events.

Education/Experience:

 Must be 21* years old or older and have a high school diploma or GED.  At least two completed years of college or at least three years of experience working with youth in the field of parks and recreation, physical education, childcare, or a related field required.

 

*Age restriction is based on COMAR regulations for working with children in camp settings.
