Queen Anne’s County Begins Fiscal Year 2026 Budget Process
Queen Anne’s County is kicking off the Fiscal Year 2026 budget process, emphasizing transparency and community involvement. The County Administrator will present the proposed budget to the County Commissioners on March 25, launching a series of public work sessions and discussions.
Residents are encouraged to follow along and engage in the process. Upcoming Budget Work Sessions include:
March 27, 5:00 PM
April 1, 5:00 PM
April 10, 5:00 PM
Budget work sessions are a key step in our budget preparation process. Officials review revenues, expenses, and department funding requests to ensure a balanced budget that aligns with community priorities. These sessions allow for open discussions on funding public safety, infrastructure, and services. Our Budget Work Sessions are open to the public to ensure transparency.
The Municipal Tax Set Off Hearing is scheduled for April 8 during the Commissioners’ regular meeting.
All sessions will be broadcast live on Breezeline Channel 7/507, QACTV’s YouTube & Facebook, and qac.org/live for on-demand viewing.
The proposed budget will be published on April 30 at qac.org and mailed to residents. Public hearings, where residents can provide feedback, are tentatively set for May 19-21.
