
Navigating Care Giving on a Budget, October 5th
GRASONVILLE - The Queen Anne’s County Maryland Access Point (MAP) office will offer a free conference for seniors, individuals with disabilities, and caregivers. Attendees will hear presentations on “Adjusting the Sails”. The opening keynote speaker, Jennifer Fitzpatrick, “Smoother Sailing: Navigating Caregiving On A Budget”, will set the tone for the conference by helping older adults and their family caregivers identify some of the major stressors, particularly with budget, involved in caregiving. Attendees will leave this presentation with strategies on how to get what they need for themselves or their loved ones without going broke. Other topics include exercising with a disability or after surgery, nutrition, aging in place and disaster preparedness. This free conference will take place on Thursday, October 5 at the Holiday Inn Express in Grasonville, Maryland. Free light breakfast and doors open at 9 a.m., and the conference is from 9:30- 1:30 p.m. There will be vendor resources, giveaways, free door prizes and free lunch.
