CENTREVILLE – A Queen Anne’s County Park’s crew had the opportunity to help turn an overgrown Salvation Army ballfield in ill repair into a ballfield worthy and capable of hosting softball games -  all in one day.
It was a day of training and giving back for our county’s Park crew made up of Chris Jones, Cole Coursey, Matt Walters and Paul Jones. On June 13, in Salisbury, they joined other Maryland Counties’ parks’ crews as part of the Maryland Parks & Recreation Association’s effort to combine training and providing services, expertise and equipment for those most in need. Montgomery County Parks headed the project that combined employee training with doing a good deed.

“Queen Anne County Parks and Recreation was an integral part of this charity field renovation training,” said Cliff Driver, Athletic Field Manager for Montgomery Parks. “I would like to sincerely thank you for your participation and the participation of your staff. This event would not have been the success without hard working dedicated people like you.”

For those who’d like to see a bird’s eye-view of the massive amount of work done in one day,

Shore Films created a time-lapse video and posted it on you-tube
