The Queen Anne’s County Department of Economic & Tourism Development has free supplies to assist local businesses to participate in Small Business Saturday on November 24th.
“Supplies are currently available to be picked up by businesses wanting to participate in the event at the Chesapeake Heritage & Visitors Center,” said Ashley Chenault, Tourism Manager. “Supplies include tote bags, banners, welcome mats, balloons, buttons, posters, tent cards, handouts, pens, stickers and decals. “Business can pick up supplies on a first come first serve basis.”
Small Business Saturday is an American Express campaign to unite communities and support local businesses. It is a counterpart to Black Friday and Cyber Monday, which feature big box retail and e-commerce stores; however, by contrast, Small Business Saturday encourages holiday shoppers to patronize brick and mortar businesses that are small and local.
