CENTREVILLE - It has come to the attention of the Queen Anne’s County Plumbing Board that unlicensed plumbing and heating contractors and or their unlicensed employees have been working in Queen Anne’s County doing service, repair work, remodeling and new construction.
Please be advised that in order for anyone to perform plumbing or HVACR (heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration) work in the county, they must have a current state of Maryland license, and a county license / registration. Buyers beware – always ask for proof of a county license and a permit prior to allowing anyone to perform plumbing or HVACR work on your property.
If anyone provides, attempts to provide, or offers to provide plumbing , gas or HVACR services in the State of Maryland without a license issued by the Maryland Board of Plumbing or Maryland HVACR Board, they are violating the State Law. A person must hold the proper category of license issued by the Maryland Board of Plumbing or HVACR Board in order to provide plumbing, propane gas, natural gas or HVACR services in the state. Journeyman, Plumbers and Apprentices cannot legally engage in the business of providing plumbing, gas or HVACR services except under the supervision of a properly licensed or permitted individual.
