[ARCHIVED] MDA offers Mosquito Control Spraying Services to Queen Anne’s County

mosquitoThe Maryland Department of Agriculture will again offer Mosquito Control Spraying Services to Queen Anne’s County for 2019. Rates will remain the same as last year. A few changes will occur this year to assist with uninterrupted spray coverage. Spray trucks will enter driveways where necessary, but most properties will be sprayed from common road frontages. The spray drift is approximately 300’ feet allowing effective coverage to be accomplished from common roadways. Spraying from common road fronts will also eliminate spray trucks from becoming stuck in wet property conditions. The second change occurring relates to the spray schedule. When spraying commences after inclement weather, such as rain or excessive wind, the next available spray day will start at the house adjacent to the last house sprayed. This will ensure there is no long-term lapse in coverage to any one property. Please get your applications in early. Applications will be accepted until April 30.

For questions, go to www.qac.org and type mosquito in the search box or call Misti Boggus at Maryland Department of Agriculture at (410) 758-2168
