Did you know that there is a team of seasoned business professionals from diverse business backgrounds ready to help you launch a new business or grow an existing one? SCORE is the nation’s largest network of volunteer, expert business mentors, with more than 10,000 volunteers in 300 chapters. The Upper Shore Chapter of SCORE serves those in Queen Anne’s, Kent and Caroline counties by providing both mentorships and informative workshops for those aspiring to create or grow their own business, said Jean Fabi, Economic Development Manager for Queen Anne’s County.
“We are inviting the public to attend one or all of the three workshops that will be held in March at the Chesapeake Heritage and Visitors Center at 425 Piney Narrows Rd., in Chester. Each seminar will begin at 6 p.m. and there is a $10 admission fee at the door. There will also be a $100 door prize awarded each night,” Fabi said.
On March 6, we are holding The Entrepreneur’s Checklist, a self-assessment guide to the skills and disciplines you’ll need to succeed.
The topic for March 13th’s workshop is Sales – learn how to valuate your offerings, identify prime customers, analyze the marketplace and review the pros and cons of different sales channels.
On March 20th, the workshop revolves around Marketing/Customer Retention and learning ways to grow your customer base and increase customer loyalty and see why customer service is the most powerful business driver of all.
