There are social media and other reports within the past few hours suggesting that there are persons under investigation (PUIs) for COVID-19/Coronavirus on Kent Island. This is to confirm that there are ZERO COVID-19 cases in Queen Anne’s County as of 4 pm (March 12). In the event that we have confirmed COVID-19 diagnoses, this information will be posted on formal health department and other county social media platforms immediately.

Governor Larry Hogan today announced the first case of community transmission of COVID-19 in Maryland. The patient, whose case was first announced last night, is a Prince George’s County resident who had no known exposure to coronavirus through travel or an infected individual.
