Queen Anne’s County Parks and Recreation recently completed a proposed agreement with representatives from MORE (Mid Atlantic Off-Road Enthusiast) to build and maintain a single-track mountain bike trail in Terrapin Park.
The County Commissioners approved the agreement in the December 8th County Commissioner meeting which covers the initial construction, special event operation and maintenance of the single-track mountain bike trail in Terrapin Park.
In the agreement MORE will provide volunteer services to build and maintain the trail, perform monthly inspections and annual all hands workday with smaller group workdays based on the monthly inspections. MORE will also provide stewardship in the continued operation of the trails through educational programs that encourage responsible riding and communications to the cycling community.
Queen Anne’s County will provide continued public access to the trails which will be in the southeast quadrant of Terrapin Nature Park.
