Queen Anne’s County Transitions to Open Vaccination Clinics and Discontinues Use of the Interest List

As of Thursday April 22, 19,697 Queen Anne’s County residents have had at least their first shot of COVID Vaccine and close to 30% of our residents are fully vaccinated. With the increased supply of vaccine and more residents being vaccinated, the Queen Anne’s County Health Department will transition to open clinics for residents and discontinue the Interest List.

The Interest List was important when the demand of vaccine far exceeded the supply. Now that circumstances have evolved there is no longer a need for the interest list. It will be discontinued at 5:00 pm on Friday, April 23, 2021. There is still a little over 4,000 residents on the interest list and we will continue to send out links to appointments to our interest list prior to publishing them on social media and our website. And will send out weekly messages for residents on the interest list to let us know if they have been vaccinated and can be removed.

There are still appointments available next week at our clinics being held at the Kent Narrows (old outlets) located at 59 Piney Narrows Road. These clinics will be offering Moderna which is a two-dose vaccine and recommended for those 18 and over.
