Join us on September 14th at 2:30 pm for a Ribbon Cutting Event celebrating the opening of the Off-Road Trail at Terrapin Nature Park. The event will be held at the entrance to Bateau Drive in the Chesapeake Bay Business Park in Stevensville.
The Off-Road Trail was created in partnership with the Kent Island Chapter of Mid Atlantic Off-Road Enthusiasts (MORE) and Queen Anne’s County Department of Parks and Recreation.
County Commissioners approved the agreement with MORE in 2020. In the agreement MORE will provide volunteer services to build and maintain the trail, perform monthly inspections and annual all hands workday with smaller group workdays based on the monthly inspections. MORE will also provide stewardship in the continued operation of the trails through educational programs that encourage responsible riding and communications to the cycling community.
Queen Anne’s County will provide continued public access to the trails which will be in the southeast quadrant of Terrapin Nature Park.
