Update on Testing and Vaccination at the Health Department
Queen Anne’s County Health Department is still working on information technology issues related to the recent Network Security Incident with the Maryland Department of Health. Despite the technology restrictions we are still offering testing by appointment Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9-12. You can call 443-262-9909 and we appreciate your patience if it is difficult to get through. The Health Department is still utilizing PCR tests and not Rapid tests.
We are experiencing an uptick in positive COVID-19 cases and if you have recently tested positive, we suggest you contact your primary care doctor to determine your best treatment option.
You can also visit https://covidlink.maryland.gov/content/testing/monoclonal-antibody-treatment/ to find out more about treatments that are available for COVID-19 including a self-approval process for those that may not have a primary care physician.
We are continuing to offer vaccinations and they can be scheduled by visiting covidvax.maryland.gov and searching by zip code.
Although the dashboard at the state is still not online for current positivity percentages and other COVID-19 metrics we continue to update our Health Department Facebook page and QACCOVID.ORG with the number of COVID-19 cases in Queen Anne’s County.
