Parks & Recreation Celebrates the Opening of New and Improved Facilities on Kent Island
Join the County Commissioners and the Department of Parks and Recreation as we celebrate the opening of the Ranger Station and Restroom at Terrapin Nature Preserve, and the improved Pickleball Courts at Mowbray Park located in Stevensville.
The Ribbon Cuttings will both be held on Thursday, June 9:
Terrapin Ranger Station and Restroom
Terrapin Nature Preserve
191 Log Canoe Circle, Stevensville
629 Romancoke Road, Stevensville
The pickleball courts at Mowbray Park have been closed since March. The courts have received new fencing, paving, color coating, striping and the installation of 10 additional courts.
The new Ranger Station and Restroom located at Terrapin Nature Preserve is a much-needed amenity to enhance our popular nature preserve in Stevensville which includes trails and a beach area that looks out to the Chesapeake Bay.
