The Queen Anne’s County Department of Health is offering a rabies clinic for dogs, cats and ferrets on Thursday October 6 from 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM. The clinic will be in the parking lot of the Health Department at 206 N. Commerce Street in Centreville.
The vaccine will be $5.00 per animal, please bring exact cash or check along with previous vaccination records if applicable.
The rabies vaccine is good in both adult (over one year old) dogs and cats for three years if they have prior vaccination. Vaccine is good for only one year if the animal is three months to one year old or one year for all dogs and cats with no prior vaccination. The vaccine is good for only one year for ferrets. Animal must be 3 months old before a rabies vaccine can be given. Maryland law requires that each person who owns or keeps a dog, cat or ferret vaccinated adequately against rabies.
