The Queen Anne’s County Commissioners are looking to fill vacancies on several Boards. The deadline for applications May 5, 2023.
Agricultural Preservation Advisory Board advises the County governing body with respect to review and approval of the purchase of easements by the Maryland Agricultural Land Preservation Foundation within the County. They also make recommendations on lot exclusions, Ag. Subdivisions and farm employee dwellings.
Bay Bridge Airport Advisory Committee investigates, reviews, reports and makes recommendations on use & future use of Bay Bridge Airport, its facilities, to review periodically the operating procedures of the Airport in order to assure compatibility of such procedures with the welfare of the community and to uphold the Bay Bridge Airport as an economic, recreational and educational center and promote good community relations.
Blue Heron Golf Course Advisory Committee is intended for the County Commissioners to obtain advice on issues and policies pertaining to the Blue Heron Golf Course from a select group of citizens who the Commissioners believe to have the diverse backgrounds, relevant expertise, and interest to provide advice that appropriately represents opinions held by the broader community.
Department of Emergency Services Advisory Council advises the Department of Emergency Services on matters of policy, equipment, standard operating procedures, protocols, medications and emergency services personnel education and training requirements.
Property Tax Assessment Appeals Board hears appeals from the final decision, final determination, or final order of a property tax assessment appeal board or any other unit of the State government or of a political subdivision of the State that is authorized to make the final decision or determination or issue the final order about any tax issue.
