Queen Anne’s County Animal Services Partners with GoodPup to Enhance Dog Training Opportunities

Queen Anne’s County Animal Services is excited to announce a new partnership with GoodPup, aimed at providing tailored one-on-one training programs for dogs in the county. This collaboration aims to benefit all dog owners, ensuring personalized training sessions to address individual needs effectively.

As part of this partnership, all newly adopted dogs from Queen Anne’s County Animal Services will receive a complimentary virtual one-on-one training session with GoodPup. Additionally, owners who choose to continue training with GoodPup will receive a 20% lifetime discount on their services, making it more accessible for them to nurture a stronger bond with their pets.

"We're thrilled to offer this innovative training program in partnership with GoodPup," said Kelly Hamilton, Chief of Queen Anne’s County Animal Services. "Not only does it benefit our adopters, but we're extending this opportunity to all residents of Queen Anne’s County. Our goal is to help dog owners address behavior concerns, strengthen the bond with their pets, and ultimately prevent surrenders to the shelter due to behavior issues."

Included in the program is access to 24-hour chat support with training and professionals, providing assistance and guidance for any questions or concerns owners may have about their pets' well-being.

In addition to virtual training, Queen Anne’s County Animal Services will offer complimentary one-on-one sessions with their staff behaviorist, Grainne Levine, for newly adopted dogs from the shelter. These sessions will take place onsite at the animal services facility in their new training facility.

Furthermore, the county will soon introduce group training classes for residents, offering a variety of training options to suit different needs and preferences.

GoodPup’s virtual training platform offers convenient one-on-one video chat sessions with certified trainers, allowing owners to train their dogs from the comfort of their homes. The training covers a range of topics including potty training, basic cues, preventing bad behavior, and dog health.
