Jeannie Haddaway-Riccio, Governor Larry Hogan’s Director of Intergovernmental Affairs, joined state and local politicians and educators during the Grand Opening Ceremony of Chesapeake College’s Health Professions and Athletics Center.
Former Ravens head coach Brian Billick, also pictured, was the honorary chair of the Setting Sail Campaign to help finance the endeavor.
The colleges’ popular health professions programs outgrew their allotted space in Shore Health System’s Memorial Hospital. This new space on at the Wye Mills campus will more students to enter these high-demand programs and will help Chesapeake meet the growing healthcare needs of the community. The facility also centralizes all the health programs on the main campus.
