Mark your calendars for Celebrate Trails Day on Saturday, April 26, 2025, right here in Queen Anne’s County!
We’re proud to join the Rails-to-Trails Conservancy and the State of Maryland in recognizing this special day that highlights the value of trails in our communities. Whether you’re a hiker, biker, paddler, or someone who just enjoys a peaceful walk in nature, our county’s trail system has something for everyone.
Queen Anne’s County is home to a variety of trails that showcase our stunning natural beauty and connect our communities in meaningful ways. From the Kent Island South Trail to the Cross Island Trail, the Corsica River Water Trail, and pathways through parks and neighborhoods, our trails support healthy lifestyles, alternative transportation, and economic growth—all while preserving open spaces and protecting the environment.
These trails reflect the pride we have in our local character and heritage. They are places where residents and visitors of all ages come together to enjoy outdoor recreation, celebrate our cultural and historic sites, and participate in community events.
The Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, the largest advocacy organization in the U.S. for trails, walking, and biking, leads this national celebration—and we are thrilled to be part of it!
Let’s keep working together to plan, develop, and maintain our trail system and connect with neighboring counties in building a regional trail network stretching from the Chesapeake Bay to the Atlantic Ocean.
