Bikes and Beers Kent Island Event May Impact Trails and Traffic on July 12
The Queen Anne’s County Department of Parks and Recreation would like to make the public aware of an upcoming bicycle event that may temporarily impact local trails and traffic on Saturday, July 12, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The Annual Bikes and Beers Kent Island ride, organized by Cult Classic, will bring a large number of cyclists to the area.
Anticipated Impacts:
- Trail Use: Cyclists will be traveling along the Cross Island Trail from Old Love Point Park to Long Point Park via the Cross County Connector Trail.
- Roadways: Several roads throughout Queen Anne’s County are also part of the route and may experience delays or congestion during the event hours.
What to Expect:
- Higher-than-usual bicycle traffic during the morning hours
- Slower vehicle movement in some areas, particularly near the trail system and scenic routes used by riders
