Queen Anne’s County Commissioners have officially proclaimed September 2025 as Senior Center Month, joining a nationwide celebration of the important role senior centers play in strengthening communities.
This year’s theme, “Powering Possibilities: Flip the Script,” highlights the evolving role of senior centers as vibrant, dynamic spaces for innovation, inclusion, and personal growth.
In Queen Anne’s County, the Active Aging Center, Grasonville Senior Center, Kent Island Senior Center, and Sudlersville Senior Center serve as welcoming hubs for wellness, lifelong learning, social connection, and volunteer opportunities. These centers empower older adults to thrive while contributing their leadership, wisdom, and time to enrich the community.
The Commissioners expressed their appreciation for the staff, volunteers, and participants who make the county’s senior centers places of vitality, connection, and inspiration.
