Temporary Closure of Cross Island Trail for Maintenance – November 5
The Queen Anne’s County Department of Parks and Recreation will temporarily close a section of the Cross Island Trail near the baseball fields at Kent Island High School on Wednesday, November 5 from 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM. We will be paving the trail after essential maintenance was done in October.
The closure will affect the section of trail between Route 18 and Old Love Point Park. The trail will be inaccessible while the path is paved following work to repair a leaking pipe that caused sinkholes on the adjacent baseball field back in October.
Trail users should stop at Route 18 and may re-enter the trail at the Old Love Point Park entrance.
Queen Anne’s County Parks and Recreation appreciates the community’s patience and understanding as these improvements are made. The work is subject to change depending on weather conditions.
